Ashton-under-Lyne will be transformed into a winter wonderland next month as the Tameside Christmas Market returns - this time with a synthetic skating rink and ferris wheel.
The festive fun kicks off on Saturday, November 29, when 30 traditional wooden cabin stalls will open for trade next to the town’s market hall.
The opening celebrations will continue the next day with a lantern parade, carol singing and brass band performances before a spectacular fireworks display.
And Frozen’s Princess Elsa will sprinkle her magic on the event on Tuesday, December 2, when she will officially open the synthetic skating rink.
The town's first Christmas market attracted thousands of visitors last year, and the event's popularity has seen it extended to run for three weeks, from 10am to 7pm, this year, before closing on Sunday, December 21.
We are still searching for local musicians, dance acts and entertainers to perform at it, and families are being encouraged to take part in lantern-making workshops before joining in the parade.
To help get us in the mood for this year's Tameside Christmas Market we want to hear from any local musicians, dance groups, entertainers, singers (you get the idea!) who would like to volunteer to perform at our Tameside Christmas Market this festive season. To register please click here
Are you, or do you know someone who would like to reserve a cabin this festive season.

Ashton town centre will once again become the place in Tameside for shopping, socialising and family entertainment this festive season with the second instalment of the spectacular Christmas market.
The vibrant holiday village – which will include 30 traditional wooden cabins as well as a stage and covered bar will run from 29th November to 21st December 2014 in the pedestrianised Market Street area alongside the market hall.
It will offer an enticing range of European and local Christmas fare – from beautiful crafts and gifts to continental food, hot chocolate and mulled wine – to complement the goods and produce already available in the award-winning indoor and outdoor markets.
Once again the main stage will be the focal point of a variety of family-friendly local entertainment and again we will bring you the magical Winter Wonderland lantern parade and a show-stopping fireworks display.
